Scars tell a story - of healing, resilience, and recovery. But for many people, scars can also come with lingering discomfort, tightness, or even pain that affects how the body moves and feels.
At Frame, we offer a gentle and effective approach to scar therapy using the Dolphin Neurostim - a non-invasive tool designed to support healing and restore comfort.
Why Do Scars Cause Problems?
While scars are a natural part of the healing process, the tissue that forms is different from the surrounding skin and fascia. This can lead to:
· Tightness or pulling sensations
· Reduced mobility or flexibility
· Numbness or altered sensation
· Pain or sensitivity
· Compensation patterns in movement
What is the Dolphin Neurostim?
The Dolphin Neurostim is a handheld device that delivers a low-frequency electrical current to targeted areas of the body. It works by stimulating the nervous system and encouraging tissue release in a gentle, precise way.
How Scar Release Works
During a scar release session, the Dolphin Neurostim is applied directly to the scar and surrounding tissues. The treatment aims to:
· Reduce adhesions in the tissue and below the scar
· Improve circulation and lymphatic flow to the area
· Restore normal movement
· Improve scar appearance (texture, color, thickness)
· Restore normal sensation to the area (reduce numbness/tingling/pain)
· Calm the nervous system response associated with the scar
Who Can Benefit?
We most commonly see clients with C-section scars, but the Dolphin Neurostim is
effective for treating many types of scars, including surgical and injury-related.
Scar release therapy can typically begin around 6 weeks post-surgery (once cleared), and it is never too late to start. Even years later, improvements are not only possible, but expected!
What to Expect
Sessions are typically about 30 minutes long, depending on the size of the scar. Most clients describe the sensation as mild or barely noticeable. A typical treatment plan may include 4-6 sessions spaced about one week apart. Many
clients notice a softening of the tissue and improved mobility - sometimes even after just one session! (Yes - REALLY!) This therapy may also be covered under your Chiropractic benefits.

Scar therapy doesn't have to be aggressive to be effective. The Dolphin Neurostim
allows us to work with your body, supporting natural healing in a gentle, targeted way. If you've been living with a scar that doesn't feel quite right, you don't have to ignore it.
